Facebook - why do people swear so much on it?

Just seen a post in my FB business feed and the guy as banging on about how much he dislikes English people using the English language so badly. I presume he is happy with other nationalities using it badly.

The example he cites is weight instead wait or vice-versa. As bad as break vs brake on here.

I digress; the point is his post is littered with 'F's' & 'C's' and a *ollocks thrown in for good measure.

He's not alone in using this language and it seems common on FB.

Is it me or am I just an old fashioned fuddy-duddy by not really liking this sort of thing?

NB: I'll admit to swearing in real life but it is pretty mild and rare.

I am with you actually, I dont like the repeated use of F and C, there is no need. I rarely swear but my colleagues do regularly but I dont see the need.

Don't complain to us, complain to him. It might cause a ripple of self censorship. :okay:

He might tell you to fark off and unfriend you though.

I think it's pretty good all in all. Most people have young family members as friends so realise that profanities can be seen by all and sundry. It's just polite to keep the profanities to a minimum.

I'm with you. I can't see the need for swear words in general conversation, on here or anywhere. Just shows ignorance in my book. The only time for a good swear is at bad drivers.

It's what happens when simpletons are allowed to use the internet unsupervised.

There's a local community site on there that I look at. Yesterday someone posted on there, "does anyone know what time Tesco is open?"

Considering they must have access to the internet I'm sure it would've far quicker just to look on Tesco.com for the answer?
