Falcon Eddy Merckx

I've seen this pair of Eddy Merckx bikes at a local auction, from what information I have gathered they are genuine but I've no idea of their value.

is our resident expert on vintage values but I wouldn't say their value would be high, about fifty quid each but depends how much they are worth to you.

I think @Cycleops is right, they look like just basic Falcons with decals on as opposed to the 531 team replicas.

Those two Falcons were at the low end of the catalogue, Mr Merckx was not a happy bunny as he sold the rights to his name for use on top end bikes.....

Hi.
It looks like they should clean up. Not sure if they are ally rims but the large flange hubs look nice. The Weinmann brake levers have cable adjusters built into them. I would guess that the frame is 21 1/2 to 22inch.
I wonder if there is a reserve on them.

If you miss out on that one you could try for the Falcon which comes after. It is a little bit smaller though.
