False accusations.... Any advice?

I have spoken to my boss, she has assured me that I have done nothing wrong, and even IF I had put pics on FB, unless they were in some indecent or insensitive, then there is nothing my sons school can do..
But she did agree that it seems someone is out to cause trouble for me, as such I have written down the events & she has attached it to my file, so that if this person does try to take things a step further then there is eveidence that I had alreday gone to her about it.
She is also going to contact the head of my sons school, she has said that she can insist on knowing who my accuser is, so if once again if theis person tries anythign else we are prepared. I will of course now know who my accuser is as my head also would like to know who her/his friends are in case one of them acts on their behalf, as cowardly bullies often work in gangs.

I am now going to put this sillyness behind me, finish my last week at work & have a fabulous summer break with my children - I will of course be putting LOTS of photos of us all on FB, just so everyone can see how happy we are

A friend of mine is a photographer and a few years ago was in a park taking close up photos of ducks. He'd been there for just a few minutes when he heard a woman say in hushed tones behind him: "Don't go near that man, darling. He's a pedophile!" Naturally he turned around to look, and was a bit shocked to find the woman was pointing him out, and gave him a very nasty look before whisking her child away.

Jesus, there's some thick people out there, and sadly, in this case, they've bred...

He should have said "no, no madam, you're completely wrong, I'm an Anatidaeophile...." and seen what she made of that.

It is a sad sad world we live in, when someone can't take pictures without others being suspiscious..
But saying that if I was in the park/playarea with my kids & spotted anyone who didn't have a child with them taking pics, I would be inclined to keep my eye on them & what they were doing, but to actulay say that when the person is obviously just taking pics of birds is just totaly stupid!
And for the record - I had to Google Anatidaeophile....

Only just read through this thread and was so glad to eventually read someone name it for what it is 'bullying & harrassment' no excuses! Schools are no different to any other employer and have 'a duty of care' to ALL employees regardless. FM should certainly have been told right at the very beginning WHO had made the allegations.

As a victim of systematic bullying by successive managers and going as high up as Head of Personnel (National company) and having to go through 4 ETs (3 for exactly the same thing indirect discrimination over working patterns and 1 for Victimisation) the only one I lost was victimisation where they could find evidence of bullying but I couldn't prove it was linked to the 1st Tribunal!!!

I survived & the last 2 years have been much better but we have had changes in higher management but for 10 years they made mine & my familys' life hell.

Whats being fear of being watched by a duck got to do with taking a picture of it?
Anatidaephobia is actually the fear that you are being watched by a duck.

Being an offender or ex-offender does not in it's self preclude a person from working with children or vulnerable persons.

The idea that it does is a complete myth, I have worked with plenty of ex offenders that I would trust with a child, more so than some non offenders.

It does however mean that they have to disclose information about their offense when applying for a CRB check, which in my opinion is correct, an employer or voluntary group that works with children may need to know

I often wander round with a fairly large camera and lens, I make sure it's pointed away from people close to me and I'll often wait, camera on my shoulder pointing at the sky until people are out of my shot


the irony is, I can take a portrait shot from quite some distance away, I don't have to be close like you do with a compact camera.

I have been asked to show the contents of my memory card to a police officer in order to apease a teacher (I'd been taking photos of buildings near a school, but had not once pointed at the school)

must say tho, there's no legal requirement to show what is on your camera to a police officer in the street. even if a teacher is being nosy.
i'm right in saying that the police in london misuse the section 44 stop and search powers on camera clad tourists i believe the register runs fairly hot on that subject.
