sure, but if the trip requires beer, surely they all need it? Though I know some 15 year olds who can curl up like a cat anywhere.

Just trying to say that the overnight train is a bit of an adventure, but it is relatively hot (that's Thailand), noisy and bumpy and if you want to arrive in 1/2 decent shape the next morning, do whatever you need to to get some kip. Nothing else to read into it, honestly, some just need some Milo :-)
