Oh, I'm so ashamed of living here, I'm not from Brum originally and I lament the day I chose to come to uni here...
I'm surprised. Birmingham has more character to it than most other cities in England. Crap for cycling, not overwhelmed by great buildings, but it's well looked after, has nice suburbs, the greatest railway station in the country and a world-renowned Symphony Orchestra. And it's really, really friendly.
