I'm a fat lump. Fashion on me is like a ribbon on a pig!

But yes, my lid does match my bike, both are black. Only because when I went to buy a new helmet they didn't have any bright colours, like yellow or white, so I thought I might as well get one that matches. Why do they only make kids helmets in yellow? They don't even ride on the road.

Some of my other stuff matches in that it's yellow and black. If you're buying new cycling trousers and there is a choice of colours you might as well get them matching but most of the time I've got old matted trainers on.

Does your helmet match the colour of your bike?

Haha NOOO

Is your biking outfit carefully co-ordinated

Hahaha NO

more like thrown together in the dark?

Oh yes.

Do you have a 'Sunday best' riding outfit?

I do not.

But I do have some dinky little cycling shorts bought from a shop in Paris that are .....'simply to die for';)

I colour coord my kit to ensure that bibs match jersey. I bought a white helmet and it will match all the kit I have. So, yes, I do consider the colour and coordination of what I wear - even on the morning commute (although not much matches hi vis).

I will confess that when I moved from my Spesh Allez to my Allez Elite (black bike to black/white/mainly red bike) I bought a new helmet which wasn't blue (like my original one)....

I got a black one, and the blue one is now used by my Wife when we go out riding as a family.

I also stopped wearing my blue ss-jersey and got a red/white/black one.

I do still use the 'old' stuff though on my hybrid in Winter, so it hasn't been simply wasted. And the bonus is that my 'new' stuff can be used with the hybrid too as it's black/charcoal.

As for fashion victim... well, those who have seen me will attest to the fact that Fashion and me have very little in common.;)

I actually got around to polishing my Ridley frame last night after 6 months of owning it and discovered that the paint finish is absolutely out of this world (it would shame a £70k sports car)so I may get into this co-ordinated look lark.

Then again I'll probably just let it get mucky again.
