...really fark me off:biggrin:

Not got a bloody clue. God help us when they get in a car...

Mind you - now that it's got a bit chilly they've opted for the bus again.

most of the "fashion victims on their fixies" (as you call them) that I see aren't actually on fixies, as I see a lot of them freewheeling around Soho, Covent Garden etc.!!

Did you see Cycle magazine's analysis of the fixie phenomenon a while back? Apparently I'm a "fraudax" rider - full mudguards, pannier rack, lights, cycling clothing.

Who cares what people ride? I don't even mind the poseurs, though I might take the mick a bit. At least they're out on bikes rather than adding to all the congestion in a car.

I'm presuming you're refering to the "Fakengers". those folk who idolise the cycle messengers and copy them in every way except for learning how to ride a bike well?

I ride a fixie, but avoid fashion like the plague (I hated the fact my fixie became fashionable...).

I do hope that the people I meet on my journeys don't assume i'm a fashionable fixie fakenger... that would destroy me.

what is the 'fashion' ??? 'cuse the ignorance but no idea what you lot are on about.. you have a bike .. ride it .. usually on cow shoot covered tarmac.. end of.. innit?

Fashion's a funny thing though. Apparently, SWMBO and I are really trendy this year. Why? Cos she's knitting Christmas pressies and I'm boiling them (jam, apple jelly, chutney). We've always done this, it's just that the cycle of fashion has caught up with us.

When the Starsky and Hutch remake came out, suddenly my much-loved and very old double-breasted, wide-lapeled, Canadienne leather jacket and Hush Puppy moccasins were fashionable. I'm still wearing them - I'll be trendy again soon.

Morning, just trying to stir up some reaction. Being in London however i have noticed a sudden explosion of kids in their skiny jeans weaving about the place on their fixies. Don't get me wrong i'm all for more people to be on 2 wheels - it was just an observation.
Don't worry, you'll get used to me;)
Oh, and now near where i live the 'yummy mummy' brigade are hunting high and low for 2 ton butchers bikes with a wicker basket on the front to put their dwarf like pooches in:wacko:

Does your bike have 10" wide handlebars? Do you have powder coated deep V rims or an aerospoke on the front? Do you have cards in your spokes? Top tube pad? If not, you are safe!
