Ok not quite but I broke the 30MPH barrier on the bike this morning. Not bad on my mountain bike with nobbly tyres!!!

nice toppped my roadie out at 49.48 MPH yday on the way home without really noticing was quite impressed thou could have had something todo with the 12mph tail wind!

Can't remember the exact figure now but 50-something. Blue Bank dropping into Sleights. On a modified Raleigh mustang with drop handlebars. That was fun.

I think the weight of the Mustang helped get the speed up, I think they were made from solid steel rather than hollow tubes!

My record is 45mph down a (paved) mountain with Panaracer Smoke/Dart combo 2.1s. I could have gone faster but I did chicken out and braked; yes, I still regret not getting past 50. And I can tell you that all I could hear was this increasingly loud rumbling, growling sound of the tyres as I gathered speed.....

Stll, 30mph on knobbies is impressive!

46 mph for me, downhill obviously, it was great until I had to crawl painfully up the other side.

46.8mph for me coming off of Cold Fell towards Ennerdale Bridge. If Blue Bank is dry this year I may try to beat that in a couple weeks.
