My mistake, it bears an uncanny resemblance to Victoria Park in Leicester, the row of houses in the background look just like 'London Rd'.

I road through Abbey park today (in Leicester) flat yes, but not flattened.

Well, i can confirm that puncture fairies DO EXIST! After making the post above, went into the garage to check my bike in readiness for todays ride and yes, the rear tyre was completely flat. It took me ages to find the puncture as well, but after a deligent search found the smallest of holes. So small it could only have been caused by a fragment of fairy dust.
