It's not contradictory, I'll be doing what I would have been doing anyway. I just don't believe in Fathers Day, but each to their own.

Enjoy your ride, anyway. :okay:

I believe in Fathers Day, unfortunately the kids do not. I will spend the day refurbing youngest lads house whilst he is at work, new floors, ceilings, bathroom, kithchen and full decorate, all within 5 weeks. Hard going when I work long hours as well but it should happen, the bikes would have forgot what I look like by the time I finish it.

Similar to @mark st1 except without the Mexican feast.
Wine might be consumed close to a BBQ in the evening though.

Getting there, one ride at a time.

Going over to see Dad and then chilling at home. I may even go out on the bike and leave Him Indoors and Daughter to their own devices, she will be cooking us dinner.

None at all and the kids know my preferences.

I've never been into card days and my dad died on fathers day so I'm very bah humbug about it all.

I'll be removing the old kitchen ready for electricians and plasterers next week

I don't have children of my own, but my ex has a daughter who has been an important part of my life for 30 years. Stepsprog has announced that she is going to cook me a (Step)Father's Day meal at her mum's house in Hebden Bridge on Sunday evening so I will try to get a decent bike ride in during the day, nip home for a shower, then either cycle over to Hebden Bridge slowly enough to not get a sweat back on, or nip over by train.

*GASP* - you are venturing 60 miles from Laaaaandon!!!

Or are you circumnavigating it and ending up back down the road somewhere?
Hey, I did my gap year helping out backward tribes in Nottingham.

Anyway, I'm doing it before there's Londexit and I'll need a passport to go outside the M25.

I don't know whats planned, if anything, if its not raining I'll be out on the bike in the morning, the eldest son comes to see us most Sunday afternoons, comes over for his Sunday dinner, so I'll see if anythings planned when I get back. The youngest brings the granddaughter over most Saturdays so fathers day might get spread over two days.
