I've mentioned it to Jack - but he just looked at me blankly and went back to licking his arse...
I am right in thinking that Jack is Mr R's first name?

Here for rides.
I'll be in a car, I may even be driving it, won't that be novel, travelling from Boston to Horsham after a girl friend's 40th b'day bash. Both of my children have bought me presents. Bitters. A bottle of Campari and a bottle of Aperol. Long story short I have to carry both bottles back, from CPH to LGW, in my baggage on Thursday night. Which I think means I may have paid for my own presents. And I have to act surprised when I receive them.

Nothing. Kids want to go out for a meal but I'm on half pay and just paid out £180 for a couple of wall cupboards for my daughters room, so skint.

I've been invited for lunch at a carvery in the park near my daughter's new house with her fiancé's parents. I'll go by bike if it's dry, with some civvies in a backpack.

My dad is going off on his hols on Sunday morning so I won't see him ( I did deliver his present on Sunday just gone so he had his a week early.)
As for my hubby, I can't wait to see his face when he opens the pressies from me and our 2 girls. We've bought him a record player! Before he married me he had a huge collection of vinyl and spent his early working years spending all his money on it. When he got divorced his (ex)wife smashed them all up and threw them in the street- I don't think he ever got over that!
So now he has a new one 22 years later. I've even got him a record to play on it- its the same as the first one he ever bought. I think he'll be well chuffed.
All 4 of us are going out for tea, so I'm thinking its going to be a great day!

Le Mans too. Setting off in about 13hrs time and hoping that passport control will be kind.

One year I will take a bike there too.

A big long bike ride.

Shower, coffee and croissants.

Possibly a game of football in the afternoon.

I don't want "stuff", just " me time.

On or t'other... a 'big long bike ride' doesn't really allow for football in the afternoon. :okay: (well one of my big long rides anyway)
Depends on what time you start. I'm aiming for 5am-10am. A leisurely 80 miles or so (though that's a mere warm up for Audaxers).

You mean the five mile ride to the pub you like with a nice beer garden? ^_^
That's a five minute walk, not a five mile ride ^_^

EDIT: actually, there's one I may go to instead, which is five miles by bike (when the to and from journeys are combined)

Sorry I was being facetious.
I'm out at 5.30am sunday for an Audax...for *cough* near double that. No time for afternoon football, maybe a quick kick about in the garden early evening.

I know

At 5.30am, if all goes to plan, I'll be puffing and panting up Station Road in Woldingham. Obscene, really.
