Some of you have very generous children. I got my dad precisely nothing, although I did spend some time hoofing bags of compost and putting stuff in the loft so that he wouldn't have to.

My dad's gift came from freecycle, a smaller bike so his little legs can reach the ground.

Inever get anything usually apart from a text message but my kids bought me a bottle of single malt I've not tried called Caol Ila from Islay. Yum yum! More of a present for the favours I've done them lately but gratefully received.

Caol Ila. The whisky drinker's whisky?

Personal I hate the stuff, but I like Islay, so I put up with all the whisky chat.
