I never tire of watching Goodfellas.

Agreed. There's nothing in it that's just there to pad it out, every scene is vital to the film as a whole. The script, the acting, the soundtrack - everything is top-notch in my book.

The only thing that bothers me about Goodfellas is Henry Hill is portrayed as a handsome, suave, man-about-town who doesn't actually get too involved in the murder and mayhem. In reality, he's a murderous, scheming, baldy little nyaff.

I think both this movie and Psycho show Bernard Herrman's versatility as a film scorer and composer. Then you hear his opening march for Three Worlds of Gulliver, and you think you're listening to Thomas Arne

Have you seen Children of Men by the same director? There's a great scene in that where the camera follows Clive Owen from outside a building, across a road with a gun battle going on, into another building and up several flights of stairs - again it all seems like one single shot, it's brilliant.

No, but I've just got to see it now. I've heard about how they did that gun battle scene, going through the wrecked bus etc. There are some other cracking good sequences in Gravity, such as this one: SPOILER ALERT
