Sorry DP - not convinced.

Pink Floyd before the talentless t*****s ditched Syd.

A bit harsh?. Syd was going out on an LSD-fuelled crash dive anyway, so lucky for us they 'parked' him in Cambridge. He got a couple of decent solo albums out before becoming a recluse. Floyd achieved rock God status with Dark Side of the Moon, and had they kept Syd, they might not have made it out of the 1960's. As much as Syd gets praised for being a genius etc, etc, he burned out too soon and I think that the rest of the band were right to let him go.

Anyway, here is a list of some of my fave bands:

Pink Floyd (naturally  )
U2
The Beatles
Genesis
The Doors
The Byrds
Coldplay
Jethro Tull
Queen
Led Zep
Duran Duran
Air
T-Rex
Slade
Electric Light Orchestra
Yes
Eagles

& not really a band: David Bowie

Andy in Sig

Vice President in Exile
Stones
Animals
Yardbirds
Pretty Things
Dr Feelgood
Eddie and the Hot Rods
Count Bishops
Little Charlie and the Night Cats
Focus
Caravan
The Only Ones
Element of Crime
The Kinks

And another half dozen that will occur to me the second I've posted this.
