This thread is to share euphemisms for toilet.

Except toilet is an obvious euphemism.

I used to think lavatory was the base word, but no, that means "washing place"

The catholic school I attended called them "basin rooms", because there were hand basin in there, obvs.

Literally, the only word I know - and indeed I have used it in anger - to talk about a place you poo and wee into - that doesn't have a politer euphemism, is "dunny". My spell checker asserts that isn't a word, so I am maintaining it isn't a euphemism.

Water closet has the dual weirdness of being unused and old.

Chinese folk really like a good euphemism for bodily functions. So it's either
shi shou jian
"wash hands room"

or
wei sheng jian
"hygiene room"

It is a bit of a minefield in UK. I'll go to some posh offices and I never know whether to ask for the "bathroom" or "toilet". I usually go with "loo"

Mmm, "over-refreshment" is a fine euphamism. I tend to use "after an evening of 'fine-dining' " to a similar meaning
