I did the same with the trailer on the back, managed to catch it, but was a heart in mouth moment!

Yep, I go along with that. Bloomin council workers, if they cleaned the paths, I wouldn't have dislocated a finger that is still buggered nearly a year later.

A Sportive is a race just not what most people think a race is !

Definition-In sport, racing is a competition of speed, against an objective criterion, usually a clock or to a specific point. The competitors in a race try to complete a given task in the shortest amount of time. Typically this involves traversing some distance, but it can be any other task involving speed to reach a specific goal.
