Feeling guilty for skipping run, successful fettle, redemption is sweet...

Well today I was supposed to be joining the local club for a 60+ miler, but I was moving furniture around yesterday so dead sore all over at 6 am, it was dark and had to walk the dog. So couldn't face the ride so stayed in bed for another hour. To appease the guilt I thought I would have a little fettle with my road bike as it's just about 6 weeks since I got it so it could have done with a tune up.

I set about to degrease, clean and lube the chainset, gears and brakes successfully tweaked. I removed the saddle bag (as rear light swingging around on the saddle bag was annoying me somewhat) and fitted a new cateye 50 volt rear light. Whilst inspecting the tyres I noticed something suspect. There was a 10mm shard of glass lodged in the kevlar, glad I spotted that because I would certainly have had a flat next week if that had been left to fester.

So, club run next weekend (promise) and no more moving furniture for me!

Well done spotting the glass shard, day wasn't wasted at all.

Been a member of my club for 3 years, and although nobody gives 2 hoots whether I turn up or not, I still feel guilty if I don`t!

50 volt light? How many batteries does that baby take?
50 lumens rear light, uses the same USB rechargeable battery that the volt 300 (300 lumen) front light uses, highly recommend both!

Different approach here. BB is squeaking quite badly. I could sort that or go for a ride. No brainer - the ride won.
Problem is, when its your joints squeaking, there's no tool that can fix that!
