Some of the hills today were a right struggle i thought i was in a good gear it felt like i was but my legs were like jelly so i had to drop some gears and sit in the saddle to make it haha

My commute to work is a short sprint with a biggish hill takes me about 9/10 mins to cover 3 miles

Nothing wrong with sitting back and spinning up hills in a low gear.Thats the preferred method of long distance cyclists.

Congratulations on the ride 20 miles is a significant milestone and 15 mph is not slow. Keep cycling and a century will be a realistic target before long.

Congrats!

I did an 18 miler at around 3 weeks in on a very windy January morning and it totally destroyed me!

I'm up to around 35 miles now (3 months in) and can do that comfortably and am eyeing a 50 miler as my next milestone

Having good weather makes a hell of a difference I'm finding!
