my son and his girl came round this morning and told me i was to become a veloci-grandad  i'm only 40

in an attempt to avoid the grandad title, i've been coming up with my own title. so far my best are Grumbledad, Grumps, and Grumpa
assuming my girl wont want to be a grandma, so maybe we need a title each. maybe Beepop and Lula or Grumble and Mumble ....lol

Congratulations Gramps.

I became a dad at 41, so have a way to go to be a Gramps.

Congratulations! Blimey, I don't blame you for shunning the Grandad title. You are way too young for a pipe and slippers.

as we're both quite short maybe Umpa and lumpa would be good titles? :-)

I like that, but personally I'd fight not to be the one called 'lumpa' - one day this kid is going to be running round a park yelling your titles....

Wow, SPD slippers, this could be big. I'm seeing one of those beige tartan designs to start with. Like these:
