My wife just bought a new Hardrock sport from Edinbrugh cycles. They fitted a cycle rack - Cheap one 15 quid. We went and bought a set of panniers from Tesco also 15 quid. Now her heels constantly hit them as she pedals!!

Has anyone had the same problem??

Any 'tweaks' to sort it?

Yes, it can happen. Some of the more expensive panniers allow you to adjust the hanging points and to place the pannier further back. It took me some trial and error to get my panniers to fit my MTB for commuting. I changed bikes and now just use a day sack for commuting.

I went for a Madison summit rack which gives two options for fitting the rack, along the top or a slightly lower side bar. My panniers also have adjustable fittings so slid them so that the pannier sits as far back as possible.
