Felt F1

Does anybody have any experience of the Felt F1? Of course it's complete overkill for a recreational rider, but I guess what I want to know is would it be rideable? Or would it be like trying to use an F1 car as a daily driver? I have read that it's actually quite comfortable, would be interested to hear from anybody who owns one.

It would be built with Super Record, and I would be putting my own Bontrager XXX Lite wheels on it. I believe it would then come out at less than 6 kg (apparently they are just under 6.4 out of the box with Dura Ace Di2, and Dura Ace C24 wheels, and I believe the Record and XXX lite between them would knock off around half a kg).

Only a possibility at the moment, I would have to sell my Dolan and Battaglin, but tempting!

It would be as rideable as any other bike, the setup would be as comfortable as you make it and it would only go as fast as you want to pedal it.

So the geometry of the Felt would not be relevant?

The geometry will affect the feel and may impact on how much you like it, but won't make you any quicker or slower.

Not in any meaningful sense, no. Unless the setup on your current bike is particularly unorthodox, it should not be too difficult to replicate it on the F1.

Cool, though I've just found a Cervelo S3 option which look even more attractive, with Sram Red.
