Quick update:.The three companies in question have all come back and said that they have sold their allocation and do not know if / when they will get stock and any new stock is likely to be 2015 spec.

Don't get too hung up on looking for a "woman's" bike, it's mostly just marketing. Male or female we all have different measurements (!). Go to a proper bike shop, get measured up and customise the right bike from there.
My partner spent ages getting annoyed with the crappy choice of "women's" bikes. She ended up with a "man's" (ie unisex) De Rosa in stunning red, she adores it, calls it La Bella

My Mrs named her Lapierre road bike Penelope and bought 'her' from a photo!! Luckily she found 'her' to be (almost) perfect and rode many thousands of km on 'her'. The only change was to change the stock saddle.

Thankfully she now realises she took a bit of a gamble and is applying a bit more sense to the CX search. She hasn't ruled out mens bikes it's just she hasn't found the right one.

I guess you just need to have a Googlefest and look at eg Cube/Ridley/Stevens/Felt/Rose/Ghost etc and see what's girly pretty and not remotely similar to your Cannondale.

What exactly does she want, then a search can get underway. Assume she'll ride a 51-52cm frame at 5'6?

Some more potential Invite stockists

Thanks Vickster will check them out. I'm guessing frame size is as you say but if it's anything like my PlanetX bike I was convinced from sizing I was a medium until I went to the shop and found I needed a large.

Colour coordination is quite important to her. She runs as well (along with getting into triathalons) and even matches her nail varnish to and running top colours to the background colours on her race numbers. Being a bloke my colour coordination is useless lol.

From what I grasp she's looking for a frame that incorporates pink or is neutral in colouring and she can stick on a pink saddle and bar tape.

When is Giant's new range out?

Can you even get pink saddles for adults?
Some of the 2015 Giant range is out in the US so I expect the UK range to be announced in the next month or so. Wiggle, for example, list 9 ladies saddles available in pink.
