Good luck with your search @User33236

After your nail polish post you have my sympathies.

Maybe your wife should get Googling as I fear a lot of the above has been a waste of time. She sounds like a lady who needs to sort things out for herself.

At the end of the day a CX bike is a piece of functional kit - it does a job and is not really designed to be a fashion statement!

Indeed it has not. Based on what you all have found out there She has opened her mind to the fact she will not get off the shelf what she wants and she has been looking through them for the best compromise that she can then spend a bit of cash (and my time) on customising it to her liking.

Still not totally given up on the Invite 1 and some of the sites @vickster came across have been contacted and will hopefully come back to her soon. Other option are being given serious thought.

Looking like it's going to be the Giant from Don Skeen Cycles once fit is confirmed (small or medium) or the Kinesis in white as a backup choice.

I don't know how the geometry compares but at a smidge under 5'10, I rode a medium Avail (with 90mm stems, 38cm bars), so Mrs Geek might be better with a small. @jefmcg is that sort of height and rides a small, she did have a stem change at first purchase, not sure to what

Very useful @vickster thank you. Small is looking like the correct size when comparing measurements to her medium Lapierre.
