The Rock (1996) - A meta score of only 59/100? I personally thought it was exciting, and gave a unique, if not dramatised, view of Alcatraz.

Where Eagles Dare (1968) - Doesn't even have a meta score, although I think it is one of those old films which you just have to watch over and over again. It's a shame that a lot of people haven't seen it, because of it's age.

The Escapist (2008) - Meta Score 56/100, people moaning that it leads nowhere, with a poor storyline? The prisoner is trying to reach his dyeing daughter who is a drug addict... you can't tell me that isn't a storyline which incorporates emotions in a tough situation (and you get to see some unique, and abandoned parts of the London Underground).

The Warriors.

Totally panned on release, one of its very few fans was Ronald Reagan! It looks great and although the dialogue is a bit clunky, I always thought that was partly the point.

Reviews were good, so maybe not relevant for this thread, but I have never met anyone else who has seen a film called "office space". Didn't have any idea what it was when I rented it on DVD, but it is a great movie for anyone who has ever had an office job.

Aye, that's a cracker. One of my favourite pieces of dialogue of all time:

Manager: looks like you've been missing a lot of work recently
Employee: I wouldn't say I've been missing it.

The scene where they "beat up" the printer is excellent too.

Looks like an EcoRV site at first glance, but isn't palindromic so can't be. Always wondered if that was deliberate.
Sorry, you've lost me...

Avalon (2001) - a Japanese film with Polish language . Weird combination, but excellent to watch. I enjoyed it so much, that I then watched the extra feature, a documentary on the making of the film.

Empire slated Office Space and Roger Ebert wasn't a fan of Take the Money and Run. I love 'em both
