I watched a bit this afternoon and I just felt so pleased for Trott's Mum and Dad - they must feel great at the moment.

80 for no wicket at the close. The Australians will think that they can do this, and I think they can too. And I'm not alone. They're only 11/4 at Coral, whereas if you were to listen to the pundits they shoud be 50/1. England are 7/2 on, which is a fantastic offer if you share the confidence of Gooch or Agnew.

I'm amazed at the declaration. If Harmison is fit enough to bowl he was fit enough to bat - and having a go for 18 overs is no bigger a thing than having a go for 20 overs. In the end Harmison did very little batting because he was hit all over the place.

So 466 to get? I think you're right when you said the Aussies will think they can get it. I suppose it boils down to whether the English bowlers think the Aussies can get it.....

If Australia do it, I will show my arse in Burton's window. They needed a world-record score a hundred runs ago and there is not a chance in hell they will do it. I reckon England will win by at least 200 runs.

I was a little worried a few hours ago, at 200 odd for 2 I was beginning to fear the worst. A few quick wickets have made things decidedly more rosy.
