finally a proper commuter again

having been over 2 years since my last proper bike commute, i'm pleased to announce i'm back in the game.

30km in, 36 back (manchester is bedevilled with a one-way system and lots of roadworks).

i think i'll need to think more carefully about refuelling at lunchtime…

Oo - that's almost exactly the same distance as my commute! Sometimes I so wish it was a little shorter, to be honest - copped out today and took the train! And I have a very quiet, rural route.

i'm training it tomorrow as i need to be home earlier, but aiming for wednesday and friday. i need to get fitter and this is just the ticket…

Was it the 'lunchtime refueling' that put you out of the game? My imagination is working overtime.

make sure you pace yourself. you'll start to feel burnt out by Thur/Fri

I don't think I'm a proper commuter again, I've only done the 104mile trip once and drive part way most days but if the forecast is rank I'll have a lie in.
