Well, this thread isn't what I thought it was going to be

£25 quid sounds good.

I've been considering getting my bike insured too, especially since we're moving office and my daily commute is going to double  (it's currently half a mile).

I've been toying with just insure the bike, or get contents insurance and include the bike on that.

What's included on yours Matt?

It seems to be a bit pointless. I am not sure what I was hoping to acheive from it. I apologise for wasting your time.
Shame there isnt any button to press to delete the thread.

Ignore me Matthew, I wasn't being serious
If we deleted everything on here that was pointless half the forum would go

I opted for Personal Injury as an option as I have a tendancy to fall over a bit. However, looking at my policy, it seems that I dont have Public Liability which there wasnt a button for but it does have the details in my policy for it (It says excluded). My replacement bike would only cost £200 so that is why the cost is so low.

cheers for that Matthew.... I think M&S quoted me about £75 for contents insurance (including my bike in the outside world) which doesn't sound bad. I've heard good reports about M&S for insurance and if I'm gonna insure my bike I may as well insure the rest my possessions against fire and burglary

Is that "cyclecover" i found on their site or is the ctc one different? The "family" option doesnt seem to add any cost and as my nephew comes with me and cycles like a maniac despite my shouting that might be a good idea ;)

I just want the public liability part really.

All this talk of insurance has prompted me to actually get insured. Gone with CTC as it was only £25 for my bike. I hope I dont have to use it now.

Hi

Ain't the £25 CTC just for membership. This only covers you if you damage someone / someones property while using the bike of what every cyclist should have.

Bike insured for theft of bike cost extra.

Sorry if Im wrong ?

I went through CTC and used CycleCover. It is the insurance otherwise I would have known.

We're with M&S - best we found and bikes insured overseas.
