Oh bugger. I'm really not very switched on about these things - partly why it's taken me so long to sort out a picture. I tried and failed several times because the piccie I chose was too big. Then worked out how to compress the file but could only manage to compress it really small...

I to have been having problems over a new avatar, and, after sweating over how to reduce it and not finding a way to do it I've decided to stay as I am for now. However if any one knows how I can reduce this to size I would be grateful!

just for reference, "faststone" is a good FREE on-line photo re-sizer. it will let you re-size to any pixel width you like, plus many other features.

not sure if it works on moving giraffes thou ??? :biggrin:
