I'm sure the collective knowledge of the forum can help me with this one.

In January we have an important business visitor coming to our factory in Manchester. He is a charming old Lebanese chap who owns a huge group of companies. His daughter the CEO came recently and was really impressed after everyone in Beirut had warned her it is a terrible industrial city full of muggers! As a souvenir of his visit I would like to present him with an impressive coffee table book with lots of quality colour pics of Britain or Manchester or Lancashire. I have searched Amazon but am not really sure what search terms to use to get the best results. Also I reckon there must be publishers who specialise in this kind of souvenir book and who probably have websites. Money is no object in this case.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Jon Sparkes is a Lancashire author / photographer. His 'Moods of Lancashire' is out of print but there is an 'as new' copy on Amazon.

Britain from the Air is one which has gone down well with foreign visitors in the past, although Britain from Above looks good too. From those two on Amazon, there's a whole day's worth of searching their "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought..."

I'm a complete sucker for aerial photos, so I'd second those. Also, I've often seen "Yorkshire from the Air" in local shops (if there's the right view of the Minster, you can see my flat!), and surely our arch rivals over in Lancashire must have done the same - so you could get a countrywide view, and a more local one... To really top it off, I know there are companies that supply aerial photos of a single street or area, maybe you could see if there's one of the factory (Depending on how interesting it looks from the air!)

Just some big roofs really! Good suggestions though - keep 'em coming!

Going to nip to Town now so I'll have a quick gliff in a couple of bookshops.
