firework night commuting

Quiet on the homeward stretch for me, saw a few in the distance which was nice.
lockdown traffic was pleasant as well

found out there was a car going around village chucking fireworks at people overall i think i made the right choice

I think I heard something probably ten miles away. It's a bit quiet here.

Pedalled in last night and again tonight, not many fireworks seen and generally a bit dull.

The only strong impression of bonfire night commuting I have is about 5 or 6 years back. I was doing an urban-to-rural commute, about 8 or 9pm so after the displays had finished, but it was lovely riding through the dark into villages where the bonfire was still burning, and people were out on the streets, going to the pubs and chatting in groups instead of the usual cold, dark emptiness of that time of year.

not that I commute anywhere any more, but November the 5th has never altered my cycling plans.
