I remember some years ago when the drag coefficient was the selling point for cars
Each model was tested and sold on how efficient they were, the additional speed for less fuel etc
However once this "race started" it became evident that the optimum shape was singular and all cars started to look alike
Then the selling point became the fact that a car may be slightly less efficient, but it was different - people paid extra for a car that was now more individual
I have a feeling that unless stopped by legislation, a campaign for real driving will stop or slow the expansion of auto driving
