I've been with them since 1992, not sure when they started :blush: Always had top service. The last year or so they may not have been too quick to answer when phoning up, but I do most stuff online anyway, it's just Mrs S that rings them. Paying in can be an issue depending on your local HSBC, our local one closed & the one in Hull centre is all automated now :sad: I haven't even thought of leaving despite plenty of offers of cash to join other banks :okay:

Regarding the phone app. Unless it has changed in the last few months, the issues I have with it are:

You cannot setup new payees directly on the app
You cannot use fingerprint recognition
You cannot access very old statements
You cannot pay in cheques via photographs

I can do all this on my Barclay's app.

That is quite new though. Unless it has changed only pay in Barclay's cheques as well.

I think your problem is that you're too demanding. For very good security reasons I wouldn't trust fingerprint sign-in yet, and given the weakness of current security arrangements it's very sensible not to allow the other things you have.

I have been with them since the start - never had a complaint or problem with their service. I don't use the Internet service - but their phone service is excellent and I have always been answered within a reasonable time. They even sent me a card to say thank you for being with them for 25 years! (I would have preferred a blank cheque)
