I was on my MTB today, trundling along some forest/park tracks, when I turned on to a wooden walkway/cycleway thing.

There was a big sign on the tree that said "Slippery when wet", and just seconds after I read it...

Thankfully just a bruised knee... but what a plonker!

The 'turned on to' probably didn't help.

There's a little bridge on a path around here which is reached by a short descent and sharp turn.

Yes, it's slippery when wet, but joining it with sideways load on the front wheel makes it more hazardous.
