It is a good way to do it if you can find a safe place to park. Look for some cycling overboots for next year. Evans do lots online. I also wear a thick pair of 100% marino wool socks.

Cheers all. I do have overshoes and thick socks, I just completely forgot about them until I was numb. Ditto for fingers and full-length gloves. Will be more prepared this week.

Looks like a good way of moving others around, but an extremely hard way of moving yourself from A to B - like a modern take on a rickshaw. You'd have to be keen (and fit)

I had a ride in one of those in Amsterdam, the driver/rider was a strapping young Irish man - he took us on a little detour to change the battery!

I'm torn between cake and more cycling kit / new bike fund. Luckily, my other half doesn't care what I spend my money on so long as it doesn't take up too much space.

I found me calorie intake going up enormously when I was doing 15 miles a day. I had to question the cost of the food against the cost of the fuel. There wasn't a huge amount in it.
