The only actual concert I went to was yazz and the plastic population at Manchester Apollo in 1989.
I've seen a few unknowns in pubs and free " in the park" type events since and I went to an 80s weekend at butlins and saw sinitta, musical youth and Nathan Moore
I'm not overly bothered to pay £50 to stand in a crowd watching a tiny stick figure on a big screen.

First 'proper' gig at the Hammersmith Odeon was Steeleye Span October 1976
But we had Squeeze as the school end of term band same year

I still can't believe my parents let me go up on the train, maybe I didn't tell them...

Anti Nazi League / Rock against Racism rally 1979.
We marched from somewhere in London to Brockwell park.
Aswad, Stiff Little Fingers,Verdict. Probably others too.

I remember the walk, it was 7 miles and I did it barefoot, and then walked 5 miles home.
I'm not sure why it seemed like a good idea to leave home for a long day without shoes or money, but what do more experienced adults know anyway

I think Dr. Feelgood in 1988ish possibly at Manchester International 2. If not then The Screaming Blue Messiahs around the same time and possibly the same venue.
