Stiff Little Fingers, Oxford Apollo 1978 ....they were supporting Tom Robinson Band, which I can't say I was over impressed with.

That was the first time I saw them. Well that tour anyway, down in Brighton.

The only actual concert I went to was yazz and the plastic population at Manchester Apollo in 1989.
I've seen a few unknowns in pubs and free " in the park" type events since and I went to an 80s weekend at butlins and saw sinitta, musical youth and Nathan Moore
I'm not overly bothered to pay £50 to stand in a crowd watching a tiny stick figure on a big screen.

But we had Squeeze as the school end of term band same year

I remember the walk, it was 7 miles and I did it barefoot, and then walked 5 miles home.
I'm not sure why it seemed like a good idea to leave home for a long day without shoes or money, but what do more experienced adults know anyway
