First long ride of the year

Managed a foggy ride to Reculver towers from Dover yesterday 55 miles, fog didn't clear all day but apart from my 69 year old knees saying we don't like this I feel fine. Now all we want is better weather and only three months to the London to Brighton, who else is coming on that?

Hi Malcermie,
My 13 year old son and I are doing the London to Brighton ride with a local cycle club in May. As this will be our first big ride of the year we decided not to do the BHF ride owing to the huge numbers of riders involved. We want to ride our Triban 5s, rather than having to push them. Also my brother inlaw broke his shoulder last year having been knocked off his bike by a non participant reckless cyclist. On his advice we opted for the local Bigfoot cycle ride. Also Im not sure that the BHF would allow a 13 year old to enter their ride.
Having seen your previous posts I know you are a Triban rider and that you have ridden the L to B BHF ride before, well done you. I hope this years ride goes well, good luck on the day.
