I went out this morning and did 70 miles. 20 miles further than my previous record. There were some horrendous hills that caused me to stop and catch my breath, along with some 'challenging' weather conditions, but I got round in one piece.

A year or so prior to today I made my first 4 mile commute on my BSO and felt like I was going to collapse.

Cycling is fantastic.

Blimey, well done for doing it on a day like this!

In my shorts an' all! The rain and hail was so bad at one point I could barely see. I would probably have postponed it if it were a weekend ride, but I'd taken the day off work especially!

Well done.

Having done my first imperial century last week I'm going for a double metric + tomorrow.

Chapeau! Enjoy the ride.

Oh please ! Let's get this straight, you took a day off work to cycle 100 km in the rain and at the end all you have to say is "cycling is fantastic". Dude, come on, I admire your eccentricity but you're crazy, plumb crazy......
