After a couple of weeks off with a mystery virus that I just couldn't shake, I've had a decent week and was ready for a 60ish km Sunday route. I took it steady because of concerns about my fitness and at the end of it, felt I'd taken it so steady, I had a bit more left in me than I expected. So tackled a regular 30km route after a bit of a rest, with a small detour to make sure I hit the 100. Got a bit dodgy around 90km when I hit a headwind that just flattened me, but overall felt that I'd paced myself quite well for the distance. So I'm chuffed! And hungry :-)

it was one of 2 rides around 2008/9, a 60+ mile audax, or a BHF charity ride, that was 40+ miles, but I cycled there & back too. I can remember my first Imperial ton & if thats your next target, I'd recommend doing it with others, as without support I think I'd have cried off at about 90 miles
