I did look at a modern 'Bickerton' some years ago but as you say, I think it's just a badging exercise and they're made by someone else.

It was the Docklands 1824 Country I was looking at. I just thought they were better looking than the Dahons at the time. Despite being pretty much a clone or rebadged bike.

This looks almost exactly like the newer Tern Joe. It's a nice, solidly built bicycle. This is my old disc brake model. It rides fantastically well.
