First ride of 2009....?

Who's up for an early start to 2009?

I am hoping to be up and out about 5:30 - 6:00 for a couple of quiet hours.

Ill be up at about 8-ish to do the papers. The im off out on my own. Wanted to go on the club ride thats on, but i wont be back for dinner and mum is doing a big dinner so i cant go

That sounds like a plan, a quick 30 mins or so to get 'wired' before bed, then up with the larks.

It's predicted to be sub zero first thing rising to a peak of 1 deg C around lunch time, so I'll probably have a later start to let things warm up.

I'm just back in from the last ride of 2008, and will be out late morning (11am) for the first ride of 2009. It's bloody cold so it may be a bit of an adventure.

I think I may cycle to work in the morning in order to claim my first ride of 2009. Problem is it's all up hill on the way to work, but it's down hill on the way home.

I had the same plan, get up and leave just after sunrise for a nice long ride. unfortunately i broke my bike and broke my helmet... so got to wait until i've fixed the bike and helmet replaced before any long rides!

Enjoy though! get the year off to a good start.
