I've just got back from my first ride of '26 now the ice and gales have buggered off.
I did a regular route of mine of 20 miles and 2400ft of climb. I usually use about 30% of the battery on this run, today the drain was 40%.
Is that because;
a) it's damp so more drag on the tyres,
b) it's cold and that affects the battery,
c) I've spent last 4 weeks sat on the sofa eating mince pies and Christmas cake.

Regardless it was bloody marvellous to be out riding again ^_^

I was actually quite pleased - my legs only complained when I got home and they got some rest

mind you as the cold kicked off my asthma so my lack of breathing meant that I didn;t ask them for too much anyway

But pleased they still work and the chocolate and puddings have not had too much effect!

Likely a mix of all three. The cold battery is the main suspect, but extra festive weight and damp roads won't have helped. Glad you're back on the bike.
