First "ride" of the year...

Since September i have only been doing the daily commute of 5-miles each way every weekday all through the winter on my MTB.

Tomorrow morning myself and 3 others from work are going out on a 35-40 miler and sad as it may seem, I am really looking forward to it.
I spent an hour putting my racing wheels (Fulcrum Racing 7) on my roadie, swapping the cassette over, mickling the chain and general adjustments, then looking at he finished product with pride even though my steed will be the cheapest of the four.

The forecast is for a warm 5c with light rain showers and a 15 mph wind gusting 30 - cant wait for it

Sounds good, enjoy your morning.

I hope it goes well for you.
You will certainly sleep well afterwards.^_^
The price of your machine doesn't matter as long as it serves its purpose.
Have a good ride.

Enjoy!

I'm a great believer that it's the rider not the bike that completes the overall machine; a lower end bike with a good rider will perform much better than a top end bike with a poor rider.

Have a good one!

Thoroughly enjoyed it, slow steady avg 14.5 which not too bad considering how windy it was especially up toward Rothbury.
Had to keep waiting for one guy who really struggled but regardless, the craic was brilliant. Typical bloke stuff ;)
