My very favourite is her stilton and leek soup. Found it to be excellent for lining the stomach before a long ale session. Can drink all night without becoming a problem if I've had a bowl of that.

Good call - that'll be my next one!

I remember making a red pepper and bean soup once but I can't remember the detail if there was any.

Love the idea of cumin and ginger with butternut squash. That would make a change from my usual version with garlic. I also love carrot and cumin:tongue:.

I made carrot and coriander soup yesterday with the homemade stock from our Sunday roast chicken. Delicious.
Today I'm off to get all the ingredients for a slow cooked beef stew.xx(

Just finished off a rather nice chorizo, chickpea and spinach soup the good woman made yesterday. Just the job after getting soaked on the commute home

Excellent, any chance of a quick outline of the recipe.

Cheese and leek is my favorite at the moment.

My butternut squashes still aren't ready!

I have soup every day for lunch it's not home made well it's not worth making it just for one

If you have it every day you might as well make a nice pan up on Sunday and just reheat portions through the week?

Has the foliage not died down yet? We've been using them since August and I now have about twenty in the shed.

Nope. The plants don't look unhealthy either. It's all very odd.

I was using them from September last year!

I'm still picking tomatoes from the greenhouse. Little yellow ones and raspberries until last weekend.

Yep, it tastes better after it's been in the pot for a day or two and the freezer gets used to full advantage in this household.
