Ooooh! I've got some smoked haddock in the freezer ;)

What does the panel think about defrosting it, making the soup, freezing it and then reheating it in portions? Safe/Not safe?

I've just made a leek and potato soup, with homemade chicken stock. I have a meringue in the oven and the scallops and bacon will be going on when Mrs R gets back. It's all a bit Delia here.

How boring!
With your avatar you should be making a melange of semi-poisonous mushrooms, chicken spleens wrapped in sycamore leaves with some beech cankers on the side:biggrin:

Leek, potato and smoked haddock.

Thanks muchly for the suggestion, I made a huge pot of it yesterday with a savoy cabbage, half a kilo of butter beans and chucked a handful of prawns in at the end as extras. 10/10

We've just had the last of the turkey, cranberry and parsnip soup I made on Boxing day with the stock from our turkey carcass. Just got a bit of christmas pud to eat now, then outr christmas dinner is finally finished! Oh, apart from the remains of the stuffing, which I'll be using to stuff a loin of pork.

Excellent, any chance of a quick outline of the recipe.

Cheese and leek is my favorite at the moment.

When you said 'quick' I assume you didn't mean two months later ;)

This is the recipe she used in case you're still interested. My stomach recommends it. A lot.
