ive been putting some miles in of late, and with some hilly efforts included. Yesterday, I went out for a 100Km jolly, as per usual, on Thursday. However, I didn’t let myself recover enough, and my legs were completely dead. It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced anything like that. It was hard work.

As is so often noted, it's amazing how quickly you can lose it but equally, it's amazing how quickly it comes back. Give yourself a break.

It didn’t take much of a break. Today normal service was resumed . I really over did it in the first part of the week.

Could just be something simple like (lack of) fuelling. Not necessarily whilst out riding but the 24-48hrs before.

Nah, this was good old fatigue, I just couldn’t get any power, I was having trouble passing old ladies on shopping bikes:laugh:. My average speed ( usually a poor metric, but interesting in this case ) was 3 mph down on the usual for that route, it felt like my shoes were full of lead.
