First time off-road

Took the new birthday bike out yesterday for the first time off road.

50k round temple newsam in Leeds, on the Lions Wild Boar charity ride. Was sheparded round by 2 experienced MB riders and thouroughly enjoyed it.

Nothing too technical, nice mix of single track, canal path and a couple of mile blast down some woodland trails.

Made a pleasant change from my more usual road based exertions.

Club rides on a Thursday evening from Elland Cricket club, led and at three levels, with a sociable group that will take you for a couple of hours and include some nice technical stuff. You'll need lights! Shout up if you're interested.

once you have gone off road, with its variety, technicality and no effing traffic it is hard to go back to the road.
