Fitter people drink more alcohol but less likely to be problem drinkers

Decades ago I used to go round to a friend's house couple of times a week, and spend some time weight training on all the gear set up in his folks garage. Afterwards, we always went down the local and downed a few. Not sure many doctors would agree to this approach to keeping fit, but hey ho.
