Morning,

It's just come in the post! I've been battling (and losing) with this bloody thing for about about an hour or so, and I can't work out how to mount the bloody thing. The instructions make it sound oh-so-easy but in reality it's a faff.

Any tips? Thank you!

(I know this isn't really a commuting topic but I know a lot of people who have a camera have contours so I thought this was a good place to start, sorry).

It really is simple..

In fact, it's so simple I can't even explain how you do it. Here are some pictures which might help

I know it makes me look like an idiot (and for the most part, I am...) but I can't seem to get the clips to lie flush, they're sticking out at funny angles and it won't keep it properly still on my lid.

You might want to remove the picture of the parcel force receipt (the picture before your helmet picture) because it has some personal information on there which you may not want people to know.

I suspect you are looping the strap around in the wrong fashion. I'll take some pictures of how it should be done.

Personally I did not trust the straps so I use thick 4 cable ties instead.
Plus be wary of the metal pin which allows the mount to pivot, as it can come loose which means the camera might take a different direction to the rider.

Probably, the instructions it comes with are terrible. 4 points and only 2 actually involve fitting it. No pictures or nothing, they need to cater to the more challenged ones who want to use it

:-0 Looks like I need to buy a lanyard as well.

Gaz - how do you stop the camera rattling? I have it tied with the two straps in the vents, like you, but it rattles when I hit bumps.
Also how do you find the audio? Mine seems a bit quiet,

The rattle is the actual slab that the camera slides in. Mine does it too. (Just avoid the big bumps).

You might want to change the audio sensitivity which you can edit when using the camera preferences through Storyteller.

Thank you very much to everybody - looks much better now. All I need now is for the bloody camera to come...

Personally I'd ditch the straps and use cable ties. You'll be able to get it much tighter and more secure.
