Fitting a pannier rack to a disc bike

Has anyone got any experience/useful tips of/for fitting a pannier rack to a disc braked bike?
Mine is a Kona Cindercone with Hayes MX2 mechanical discs.

yep. Get a rack designed for the task. Makes it a lot easier.

I've fitted a few and they can be a bit of a faff. Depends on frame and type of disc - on on bike a Tubus Disco fitted fine but the same rack on a different bike didn't fit. I rather like bikes where the disc is mounted between the chain and seat stay - like the Boardman Cross bike, out of the way.
