Fixed and gear type wheels

Hey guys,

I was wondering, is it interchangeable to use a rim that's used for fixed wheel to a lets say 9gear road bike?

Yes, but..

If it's a pure track rim, it won't have a braking surface. If it's a road rim then fine. Rims are rims generally. I use CXP33's on my road bike and fixed.
